How to make rounded earwires
Follow this illustrated tutorial and learn how to make rounded ear wires using craft wire, Pliers and wire cutters.

Materials used in this tutorial:

  • 0.8mm square Copper craft wire
  • Beadsmith economy round nose pliers 
  • Beadsmith economy chain nose pliers 
  • Beadsmith economy side cutters
  • A thick marker pen or mandrel

Step 1

Cut a length of craft wire to 6cm with your wire cutters.

Step 2

Using round nose pliers, make a small loop at one end of the wire.

Step 3

Position the wire next to your marker pen and Shape it around with your fingers. pull the wire all the way around keeping a good tension to create a nice curve. 

Step 4

Using chain nose pliers, bend the end of the wire outwards around 8mm from the tip of the wire.

Step 5

Take your wire cutters and cut off the excess wire, leaving around 3mm of wire. 

Step 6

 Repeat these steps again to complete a pair.
