Valentine’s Day traditionally has been one of the most stressful days of the year besides Christmas and Easter, and where hundreds of men and women run to expensive shops to buy wristwatches, necklaces and other expensive items adorned with teddy bears, flowers and even the occasional love Heart balloon and are then thrown at each other to show how much you love them. To me, it’s too much.
I feel that simple gestures sometimes have the biggest effect – like creating a special piece by your own fair hands! Sometimes handcrafting a unique present for you loved one has more meaning then anything bought from expensive retailers. So in the season of love and self-creating here is a small showcase of some designs that would be amazing for any Valentine’s Gift!
Inspired by Valentine’s Day, we have stunning Silver and rose quartz bracelet that embodies Valentine’s without being gaudy with hearts and streamers all over it. This simple creation has a variety of Pink blushes from its main gemstone beads, to the smaller embellishing Swarovski crystals creating this sparkling creation. This would definitely be perfect for women, due its ability of being able to be worn throughout the year, but still have its subtle nod to the romantic holiday

Completing this Rose Quartz set, our designers have created this amazing tear-drop shaped earring to ensure you have a chic and modern set for Valentine’s Day. If you’re looking for something with a little more vivid colour, then these luminous scarlet drop earrings will be a perfect match, with these faceted ruby toned tear drop beads woven together with a rich Gold Beadlon wire to create these chandelier style earrings. These earrings are simple to create, using a small amount of Tools and materials, but in the end create this stunning and effective set – perfect for that last minute Valentines present.

So our final design, I thought we would go for something bolder and a little more elaborate for the intermediate beader. This amazing Peyote stitched bracelet has a variety of Size 8 red toned Miyuki Delicas weaved together to make this attractive and charming “cuff” style bracelet. This design is versatile, allowing you to mix and match the beads and findings for your own patterns and creations – for example, you could use silver findings you could weave silver coloured beads into the design for a complimentary look.
