14/06/2016 0 Comment(s) Tutorials and Mini-Makes,

We are fast approaching the fun time of year where many of us will be hitting some amazing festivals across the UK or even futher afield.... if sadly you will not be making it to one yourself what about sharing some Mala bracelet love creating a Boho bracelet for a friend to take with them. Join in with the gorgeous Mala bracelet fashion.

I have created one today to show you a mixture of of some yummylicious beads that really work together and make this stunning bracelet.

This two wrap elasticated bracelet is one I have especially designed for the wonderful Elina who is part of the team here at beadsjar. She will be having a great time at Posistivus (in Latvia) festival so for her I have used this mixture of 8mm Agate Blue faceted beads, a selection of metal spacers and the cutest little charms which include the tree of life and a bird representing freedom.

Agate as a grounding stone aiding the wearer to help balance out physical and intellectual wellbeing. It is also known as calming stone.

What I used;

I Started with a generous length of the elastic for my two wraps around the wrist so about 60cm.

Thread a bead with a large whole to start, I used three of the Antique Silver Small Dot Spacer (C94/2).

Then continue adding the beads in the order that you wish or feel free to use this design I have put together.

This next step is showing where to two ends of the bracelet will join together, see the secure surgeon knot on our knot guides.

The knot will also hide securley inside the larger holed spacer beads, giving you a much neater finish.

Cut away any excess elastic after the knot has been secured and then enjoy your beautiful two wrap Mala bracelet as demonstrated by the beautiful Elina for whom this bracelet was made.

I would love to see your Mala Bracelets and the choice of semi precious stones you have choosen, Share them with me via Facebook.
