Finishing multi-strand necklaces and bracelets

Things you need:

Step 1

When you've strung your two strands and are ready to finish, slide on one of the calottes then a crimp bead.

Step 2

Take your flat or chain nose pliers and crush the crimp flat securing it onto the wire.

Step 3

Trim off the excess wire above the crimp with wire cutters.

Step 4

Slide the calotte up and close over the crimp bead with your fingers or flat nose pliers. Then hook one of the jump rings onto the open loop on the calotte.

Step 5

Pull the loop on the calotte closed using your round nose pliers. Use chain nose and flat nose pliers to twist open the jump ring, hook the loop of the lobster clasp on then twist close.

Step 6

Repeat the process on the other side without the lobster clasp, just adding the jump ring instead. Open the lobster clasp and hook onto the jump ring on the other side to finish.
