How To Make Ear Wires With Craft Wire

28/08/2015 0 Comment(s) Introduction to Beading for beginners, Tutorials and Mini-Makes,

Afternoon Everyone!

I just wanted to let you guys know I made a new wire working guide this week complete with illustrations to make things clearer. This weeks guide shows you how to create your very own hoop earrings using craft wire and a tiny selection of jewellery Pliers. I was so excited the first time i made these and really surprised at how quick and easy it is.

All you'll need to get started is some craft wire with a minimum diameter of 0.6mm, some round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, wire cutters and a marker pen or any other cylindrical object to wrap your wire around. It all depends on the size of the hoops you want to make. For these hoops I used our 0.8mm Square Copper Craft Wire which gives a really sturdy Shape and is something a little different than the more common round wire.

The great thing about these hoops is that they look great plain, or if you'd like, you can add beads, crystals, charms or gemstones to them to glam them up. They are also a great base for showcasing your wire wrapping skills. Check out the guide here and let me know what you think! Have you made your own hoop earrings before? Did you use a technique different tho this? Please feel free to have a chit chat below...:)
