The fashion for this winter is going big and certainly bold.
So I have been checking out a few of the earrings appearing on the catwalk for this Autumn/ Winter season. Have a look at these mega sized earrings.

The other big trend is the colours the first three have colour in their design but mostly the trend is monochrome. The next three images are a personal favorite of mine.
I am loving the geometric Shapes within the designs.

As fabulous and as mad as these earrings are for us mere mortals they are a little too extravagant for every day wear, so I decided to come up with a slightly more manageable earring that you can wear even everyday.
Here are three examples of designs created with beads at Beads Jar. They are big but surprisingly light so as not to pull on your ears.
The Black and Silver Swirl Earrings.

You can see how to create these earrings in the Design Ideas page on the website this also gives the full list of components used.
They are made with horn for the large circles and a hollow silver swirl bead to keep them light weight. For an even more unique look I have used the ear wire Jig to make my own ear hooks.
The ear hooks have a softer smooth swirl feel to match with the design of the earrings.
The Jagged Fossil Jasper Earrings.

As I mentioned previously that there were a lot of geometric designs in the fashion trends and Beads Jar have these gorgeous fossil Jasper pendants and with the use of the diamond ear wire jig I found combing the two gave these earrings a geometric look but one that is unique as the ear hooks form part of the design as well. This earring design and components list can also be found on the Design Ideas page.
The Black Beehive Earrings.
The earrings have a beehive shaped horn bead to keep them light weight but they have a fancy Bali headpin to add interest at the base of the design and the silver tyre spacer bead at the top to even them.
You can see how to make these earrings on the Design Ideas page.
I hope this has given you some inspiration and you give them a go.
Until next time, happy beading. B x
