A Big Hello and Welcome from Billie

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you as this is my first time blogging for Beads Jar.

Some of you may have already seen the jewellery making tutorials we have created and I hope you have enjoyed them as much as me and the team here have had producing them.

My name is Billie, I started designing jewellery before leaving college, originally buying beads and materials from a market stall in the Corn Exchange in Leeds.

It is a lifelong passion of mine and believe me nothing gets me more excited than when I walk into a bead shop that is full of 1000's of beads. Stepping into an Aladin's cave of amazing Colour, texture, and the huge diversity of Shapes and sizes that are available in abundance within the world of beads. Which means endless design possibilities. What could be any better than being able to make yourself the amazing jewellery to go with any outfit or special occasion. Or creating a truly personal and individual Gift, using special birthstone beads or charm to represent their unique character.

I have been fortunate to travel around the world and visit many beautiful bead shops along the way, seeing how culture affects the jewellery design and colours used. To visiting trade shows and seeing new methods for beading as well as some fantastic jewellery designers and what they are creating. My last visit was to a trade show in Paris and honestly there just wasn't enough time to appreciate all the amazing and truly talented designs and designers that were there. The next time I shall take some incredible photo's to share with you. That's a promise.  

My aim is to inspire you and give you ideas to get creating incredible jewellery for yourself as well as sharing, correct methods, techniques and Tools to use that I have learnt on my 16 year jewellery making journey.

Me and the fabulous team here at BeadsJar will keep you up to date with all the fantastic new trends, current styles and provide you with endless innovative designs to inspire and get you going on your long and happy beading making future.
