❀ Your Makes Revealed! ❀ May 2016 ❀

Hi Everyone! 

It's time to reveal your makes again! You guys have sent in some amazing, really creative designs. We've seen everything from complex beaded jewellery, intricate wire wrapping to metal work and silversmithing.

As before, we were sat here for an age trying to decide who should nab our little stash of beads, Liberty ribbon and Sterling Silver Findings. After many cups of tea and far too many cookies, we came to the decision that the prize should go to Anzela's beautifully presented geometric seed beaded bracelet. The more you look at this clever pattern you see how the Shapes jump out....it's mesmerising. Well done! Thomas Davis's bead embroidery never fails to amaze me. The time and work that goes into these pieces really shows. Thomas has created this new piece for his exhibition at Bassettlaw Museum in Retford this summer from June 18th to Aug 20th. So if you're in the area, do check it out! 

This gorgeous poppy has been painstakingly cut by hand from aluminium by Elizabeth Allan of LA Stamping & Jewellery. Elizabeth has then mounted it onto Hunkydory poppy meadow paper to create this beautiful piece.

I love this hot air balloon necklace designed by Debbie Frost! I know it's a balloon but it reminds me of one of those colourful deep sea jellyfish. Debbie's Facebook page The Frosted Pendant is a must see to check out more of her wonderfully creative pieces. 

Kathy Harris has used our tiny Pink Miyuki Seed beads to embellish this lovely knitted shawl.

These super funky earrings were made by Tess Goins and they are titled 'Like it's golden'. 

We were all super impressed by this cool Kaleidoscope made by Marita McGing. Marita has used tiny size 11 Miyuki Delica seed beads in multiple colours to create this beautiful pattern. Take a look at Arm Candy Creations on Facebook to see more of Marita's intricate work.

Handmade card and the prettiest envelope we ever did see by Jacinta Wilson of Recherche Cards.

This pretty beaded bubble ring was created by Deborah Thomson. Deborah has set up a fantastic group on Facebook called UK Seed Beaders to share makes, hints and tips on jewellery making. It's well worth a visit!

A beautiful agate cabochon has been intricately wrapped in silver plated wire by Shirly Harris of Tinkz Treasures. 

Shimmering metallic 3 strand bracelet with star charm made by Helen Nagle of White Willow Handmade.
