Halloween Design Ideas and Competition

The spookiest time of the year is almost here and we’ve been crafting away to give you all some design ideas to keep you and the little ghouls going throughout the festivities. 

These easy to make hematite skull drop earrings are a great choice to make for anyone new to beading. What you need to make the pair are 14 x 4mm jump rings, unfinished silver chain (any chain will do but these are using silver round links) at 3 staggered lengths, 6 head pins and your choice of hematite skulls. We are also using sterling silver earwires to hang them from. 1st step is to measure out your 3 separate lengths of chain. Attach the skulls using headpins and a jump ring to the bottom of each length. and lastly use another jump ring to attach the separate lengths to the earwires.

These awesome feather earrings incorporate Black and Orange feathers tied together using a bit of thread and then glued inside 3mm Kumihimo cord ends.These are then attached to sterling silver earwires using 4 x silver jump rings. Great for Halloween and even better for Bonfire Night!!! 

These cobweb earrings are made using our cobweb charms, black chinese crystal bacons and size 8 Toho round seed beads. Simply thread the seed bead onto an eye pin with the bicone and then attach one end to the earwire (again we are using sterling silver) and the other end to the cobweb charm. Any left over beads can be used for any other crafting projects. 

This colourful bracelet is using the same cobweb charm, paired with an antique silver toggle clasp. Secured with Beadalon beading wire, and finished with silver metal Crimp Beads and calottes. This bracelet showcases our Sunset Orange bead mix which includes lots of different Shapes, sizes and designs. The brilliance being you can make as many Bracelets, necklaces and other bits and bobs as you like for your halloween decorations.
