Hello everyone!
Have any of you crafty people ever fancied making Soutache jewellery? I’ve found myself admiring some incredible soutache designs this week from very talented jewellery designers. Soutache jewellery is filled with fabulous Colour, crystals and divine swirling patterns to make bold designs! If you’ve already been experimenting with seed bead stitching and embroidered pieces why not give this a go?

Soutache is an ornamental braided cord usually made from rayon or polyester. It is available in an array of rainbow colours and even metallic finishes! Stitch the cord in beautiful, decorative patterns around cabochons, Swarovski rivoli and Seed beads using felt as a backing. With soutache pretty much anything goes! Be as creative as you like and feast your eyes on these breath-taking designs for inspiration….
I came across these magnificent earrings by Dorota Kalicińska with a beautiful mix of green and blue soutache cord. They feature sparkling Swarovski rivoli crystals, gold seed beads and finished with a fashionable tassel to complete the look! Check out more of Dorota's striking designs here.

Next I found these amazing soutache earrings from Malisa Jewellery. The colour combinations work so well together with vibrant bursts of red, blue, yellow and green. She incorporates a variety of crystals and natural gemstones within her designs including turquoise, coral, goldstone, agate and jade.

Think these were impressive? Kelli Peduzzi from Pure Bliss Jewelry has created such intricate soutache designs that will make your jaw drop! These Spectacular necklaces are incredibly detailed and beautifully handstitched to perfection. She is inspired by decorative elements in Paris architecture which she reflects in her impressive jewellery. Many of her pieces include rare and vintage beads to capture an element of history and create one of a kind jewellery.

And finally...... my favourite soutache designs from Studio Gianna! Jewellery designer Joanna creates breath taking pieces of jewellery incorporating a whole rainbow of vivid shades in striking swirling patterns. She incorporates a variety of vibrant beads and sparkling Swarovski rivoli crystals as focal points creating unique necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

So what do you think of these soutache designs? I hope they have given you plenty of inspiration to get creating stunning soutache designs yourself! Take a look at our soutache collection for your cords, felt, thread, beading needles and accessories. You can also incorporate Swarovski rivoli crystals and tassels like some of the above designers for an extra special piece!
